What Are Strength Shoes?

What Are Strength Shoes?

Unusual athletic shoes known as Strength Shoes, which have 1.6-inch hard-rubber platforms affixed to the front halves of the soles, have become popular for many athletes seeking to increase their vertical leap. Designed to lift up the feet and prevent the heels from touching the ground, the point is to make the calf muscles work extra hard during a workout.

This great vertical jump training program teaches you every thing you need to know so as to quickly increase your vertical jump! Click on on the follwoing link to check it out: Jump Manual Review

What are these shoes supposed to do to help you with your vertical leap?

To picture how this happens, remember that Strength Shoes are actually designed to turn your feet into longer 'levers'. As you imagine this, you'll realize that when you jump or run, your feet are like levers acted upon mostly by the muscles in your calves. When you run, hop, or jump, those muscles pull up on your heels, rock you forward onto your toes, and propel you forward. While you wear the shoes, your feet have been extended because they now reach from your heels to the toes and down to the ground through the platforms.

So...

As soon as a lever lengthens, more force must be directed at one end to make the opposite end move at its normal speed. You can see what is supposed to happen when you use Strength Shoes-since your 'levers' are now longer than normal, you must make your calf muscles contract with extra force while you do your training-just to do so at normal speed.

Wearing the shoes is somewhat similar to standing on a step with the edge of the step approximately in the middle of your feet and your heels hanging off the edge. To stay upright in the Strength Shoes, you've got to really activate your calf muscles, claim strength-training experts-or else you'd fall backwards.

Owners are encouraged to run, skip, jump, and do a variety of plyometric drills while sporting the shoes. During this time your calf muscles, among them deep, oft-neglected ones, are working overtime. Ultimately, such increased stress on the calves is intended to build added strength and, in the case of runners, more explosive strides. However, it is more likely, according to studies, that they will at best provide no benefits, and at worst cause injury.
